Wir haben\u00a0im Victoria & Albert Museum (kurz: V&A) fast einen ganzen Tag verbracht. Ich hatte von dem Museum geh\u00f6rt, hatte aber keine wirkliche Vorstellung davon. Nur eins war klar: Sie hatten eine Ausstellung \u00fcber die Geschichte der Unterw\u00e4sche – da wollte ich rein! Was soll ich sagen? Es hat sich gelohnt! Die \u00e4ltesten Exponate zeigten das “untendrunter” von 1700. Von da aus ging es bis in die Moderne – von Funktionsw\u00e4sche \u00fcber Nacht- und Reizw\u00e4sche bishin zu Fetischkleidung. Alles war vertreten.<\/p>\n

Das Museum an sich ist kostenfrei und ich kann es nur empfehlen. Wenn ihr Interesse an Kunst, M\u00f6beldesign, Kleidung und Stoffen habt, schaut es euch an! Wir haben uns nicht alles ansehen k\u00f6nnen und beim n\u00e4chsten London-Besuch muss ich dort auf jeden Fall noch mal rein.<\/p>\n

Der Innenhof ist auch toll. Wir haben uns Sandwiches mitgebracht und dort zwischen Familien mit spielenden Kindern Mittag gegessen. Es gibt dort aber auch ein Caf\u00e9, dass einladend aussah.<\/p>\n

Leider war das fotografieren in der Sonderausstellung nicht erlaubt, deswegen zeige ich euch ein paar zusammengestellte Handyfotos aus dem Museum.<\/p>\n

We spent nearly a whole day\u00a0at the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A). I heard of it before but couldn’t really imagine what this museum is about but I wanted to visit a temporary exhibition: “A brief history of underwear”. It was worth a visit. Starting with what women were wearing at 1700 and then going through the centuries with all the changes,\u00a0developments, fashion and of course health risks (just giving you one word: corset) and ending with modern fibres, nightwear, lingerie and also fetish.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Not only this temporary exhibition but also the whole museum is stunning. It’s for free (which is for me as a German still one of the miracles of British museums) and you could spend hours and hours discovering art, design of furniture and fashion, clothing and fabrics. If you have the slightest interest in one of these things – visit this museum! Period! \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n

We loved the patio in the middle of the museum too. We brought sandwiches and picnicked there between families and visitors. You’ll find there a Caf\u00e9 too if you don’t want to bring your own food.<\/em><\/p>\n
